Holly Brooks, RYT 200
I think that what makes me unique, is that unlike many yogi’s, I knew the first time I hit my mat that I needed to learn as much as I could so I can share this beautiful gift of yoga with others. I enrolled in Yoga Teacher Training six weeks after my first class and received my teaching certificate in Sept. 2014. I currently teach Vinyasa Flow, Yin, and Classical (all levels). I am also a licensed Broga Instructor (Yoga designed by Men for Men, but open to everyone!). I truly enjoy living a healthy, balanced lifestyle and it gives me great joy to share it with others; so much so, that I pursued a certificate in Personal Training, which I received in October 2015. In my desire to be a better teacher, a better student, and a better person I am also pursuing a certificate in Holistic Nutrition. Prior to exploring Yoga, I began my journey on the healthy, holistic lifestyle by obtaining my Master/Teacher certificate in Usui Reiki in 2013. My approach to Yoga is with the intent of being an inspiration to others (there’s a story behind this…ask me!), to remember to have “an attitude of gratitude” every day, and to continue learning each day (to be a better teacher, a better student, and a better being!). I am so happy to be here, at Bare Urth, with all of these wonderful souls and I’m looking forward to working with you all. Namaste’.

Clarisa Thayer, RYT 500
Clarisa Thayer-RYT 500- Attended her first yoga class in 2006 while living in Maui , Hawaii . She immediately discovered a sense of freedom, spirituality and balance. This class influenced her desire to one day become a certified yoga instructor. She made her dream a reality when she studied at Sunstone Yoga in Dallas,Texas . Her study included 500 hours of intensive training during the course of 2 months. Near the completion of the course she taught classes at Sunstone studio’s under supervision of certified trainers. Her attention to detail, body movements, and breathing techniques have enriched her skill as a teacher. Clarisa knows with proper training, anyone, at any age can learn to share the same passion she has for this centuries old discipline. She believes yoga is not simply an exercise, it’s a way of life, and it’s a spiritual connection to a higher plane of understanding oneself. The world we live in has many stresses and demands. Yoga offers a way to develop peace and serenity for yourself.
Jeannine Burgess, RYT 200
Jeannine first became curious about Yoga in her teens when she started learning more about different cultures, religions and practices. In the early days of her yoga practice, she quickly discovered she was able to remove mental and physical blocks, building a greater trust and self awareness. Over the years in her practice, she has had some moments of pure discovery, curiosity, experimentation, peace, humility, exhaustion, and exhilaration (sometimes all at once). She’s taken classes from teachers of many different schools, lineages, and approaches. She had a regular practice for over seven years before receiving her 200 hour teacher training through Kripalu in 2007. Having once been a student of the arts, Jeannine now gravitates towards the health and wellness fields, and is currently studying Health Science at USM. Yoga formed the backbone for the interest in this field long before she put it all together. Jeannine enjoys teaching because she believes everyone deserves to experience this sense of peace and self acceptance.
